Yuta Itsumi, investigates how urban rivers can foster a sense of connection between people, nature, and local communities within watershed landscapes. Given the current uncertainty around which experiential programs are most effective, his research adopts a qualitative approach—using surveys and interviews—to better understand how a sense of place is shaped through diverse urban river experiences.
