The SuCi Project Receives Erasmus Mundus Design Measure Funding

This innovative programme, led by the University of Strasbourg and coordinated by Aude Zingraff-Hamed (ENGEES), has received strong recognition at the European level. It establishes a novel collaboration between European universities and partners from non-EU countries to develop a high-quality academic programme in urban sustainability. Special emphasis is placed on social issues, inclusion, and cultural diversity.

As noted by the European Commission:

“The proposal is strongly related to the objectives of the Action and is an excellent demonstration of transnational cooperation [...]. It convincingly demonstrates that the current offer is perceived as segmented [...], and poorly adapted to the new challenges of sustainable urbanisation.”

The funding will support the development of the future SuCi international master’s programme, with the goal of achieving Erasmus Mundus label status at its launch. It will also fund the programme’s coordination, led by Galya Hovhannisyan, who has been recruited to oversee its implementation until the official opening.

This success reflects the strong commitment of the teams involved and further strengthens the international momentum fostered by the ITI SWITCH.
