The Région Grand Est is relying on the cross-border "water and sustainability" chair to develop partnership projects with industrial companies in the region.
As part of the Industrial Chairs programme (Higher Education, Research and Innovation Commission), on Friday 19 September, the Région Grand Est voted to provide €458,000 in funding for the "Région'EAUX project", led by the EUCOR cross-border chair and its full professor Karl Matthias Wantzen.

Through research, training and communication, the "Région'EAUX industrial chair project" aims to contribute to the sustainable management of water resources in the Grand Est region in the context of climate change, ensuring a fair share between uses and ecosystems.
Transdisciplinarity and interdisciplinary co-construction with stakeholders are being developed at all levels.
This should enable us to go even further in terms of research and cooperation with industrial companies in the region, starting with our sponsors: Bürkert, EDF, Heppner, Kronenbourg, PAS, Spadel (Wattwiller), Veolia and Soprema.
New collaborations are to be built!
