To kick off the academic year, we invite you to a unique and engaging activity. The national research program OneWater – Water, Cities and Territories (https://www.onewater.fr/en) brings together more than 170 laboratories and public/private partners to address a common challenge: rethinking water as a shared resource and supporting transitions in the face of climate change, resource scarcity, and competing uses.
The ITI SWITCH contributes to this program through PC7 – Supporting socio-ecological transitions, which investigates new forms of water governance and integrates innovative approaches that also consider “non-humans” (ecosystems, species, rivers).
As part of their research at the University of Strasbourg, Yixin Cao (postdoctoral researcher in socio-ecological water governance) and Thomas Wendt (doctoral researcher developing an eco-strategic framework for river restoration) have designed a serious game that gives a voice to the non-human inhabitants of rivers. They invite you to test this game in two workshops, where your feedback will be essential for finalizing the project’s outcomes.
