Intervenant Périg Pitrou

Anthropologist, CNRS Research Director, affiliated with the Maison Française d’Oxford and the Laboratoire d’anthropologie sociale at Collège de France, Université PSL

In this lecture, Périg Pitrou examines the relationships that human societies maintain with vital processes, focusing particularly on water. Drawing on his research in the anthropology of techniques and knowledge, he explores how humans conceptualize, manipulate, and attribute meaning to life in connection with natural elements and the environments they inhabit.

This lecture offers an opportunity to engage with an original, transdisciplinary perspective on life at the intersection of anthropology, biology, and philosophy.
