ITI SWITCH Call for Proposals Overview
Launched in January 2025, the ITI SWITCH brings together research units, departments, and doctoral schools to promote interdisciplinary research and training while enhancing the international visibility of the University of Strasbourg. The primary objectives of ITI SWITCH are:
- Strengthening research in environmental sciences and sustainability
- Promoting interdisciplinarity and international collaboration
- Fostering societal engagement
Each year, ITI SWITCH supports research projects addressing six challenges within three main themes:
- WP1: Dynamics of socio-ecological and hydrological systems in urban and continental settings
- WP2: Sustainable trajectories of socio-ecological systems
- WP3: Governance of socio-ecological and hydrological systems
Funding Types
- Develop: PhD and postdoctoral research advancing high-level interdisciplinary research.
- Empower: Collaborative projects involving multiple partners to strengthen transdisciplinary research.
- Initiate: Master’s thesis projects, with a specific call in September 2025.
