Postcolonial structures often create biases and asymmetries between the Global North (GN) and Global South (GS, sensu UNESCO), shaping approaches to socio-environmental challenges.

In this project, students will engage with peers from the GS working on similar topics to compare GN and GS strategies for addressing environmental and social problems. Contributions from CWS students in the GS will enrich this comparative perspective.

A central focus of the project will be transferrability: identifying which solutions can be directly applied in other contexts, which require adaptation, and which are site-specific and must be newly developed. This analysis aims to cultivate critical understanding of how socio-environmental interventions can be effectively tailored across diverse geographical, cultural, and institutional settings.
