Description

Unlike natural science approaches, human decisions are not driven solely by facts, but often by perceptions, emotions, and cultural values. This course is composed of two interconnected parts.

The first part focuses on communication, examining how to identify different types of interlocutors, understand their perspectives, and adapt communication strategies accordingly. Students will learn to convey complex information effectively, taking into account social, cultural, and psychological factors that influence understanding and decision-making.

The second part explores Human-Water Relations from sociological, philosophical, and religious perspectives. It investigates how human values, beliefs, and cultural frameworks shape interactions with water, influence decision-making, and inform approaches to sustainable water management. In an intercultural global comparison, students will learn how these intangible bonds have developed, and how they can contribute to the representation of hydrosystem values, support decision-making in projects, and serve as an element for communication. Students will critically reflect on the social and ethical dimensions of water use.
